Welcome to SportsHCI 2026
Annual Conference on Human-Computer Interaction and Sports
Following the successful inaugural edition, we are delighted to welcome researchers and practitioners back to SportsHCI 2026, the second annual conference dedicated to exploring the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and sports. The conference provides a vibrant space to exchange ideas, engage in critical discussions, and collectively shape the future of this growing research community.
SportsHCI aims to strengthen and expand the community that has formed around this field. Together, we will reflect on the wide-ranging impact of HCI in sports - spanning performance analysis, injury prevention, rehabilitation, and the experiences of athletes, coaches, and fans. We invite participants to actively contribute, learn from one another, and help further define the scope and identity of SportsHCI.
Maintaining a single-track format, SportsHCI 2026 is designed to foster collaboration and open dialogue across disciplines, including human movement science, esports, rehabilitation, and interactive systems research. By bringing these perspectives together, we aim to demonstrate how HCI can make a significant and lasting impact on sports.
SportsHCI 2026 will take place on 16-18 November 2026 in Saarbrücken, Germany, as a fully in-person conference.
We look forward to welcoming you and to the insights, discussions, and connections that will emerge at SportsHCI 2026.
